Bellingham Review Publishes Issue 79
The editors of the Bellingham Review are pleased to announce the publication of Issue 79, our ninth annual online issue. Inside you will find a collection of rich new hybrid work, fiction, nonfiction, and poetry from twenty-four writers. You’ll also find a section titled “We’ve Been Known,” with an introduction by Guggenheim Fellow Denise Duhamel, showcasing poems written by men and women incarcerated at Skagit Justice Center in response to Duhamel’s poem, “I’ve Been Known.” As part of this section, our editor-in-chief, Susanne Paola Antonetta has written a headnote on mass incarceration that I invite you to read here.
The issue’s cover features David Scherrer’s stunning photo Chefchaouen II.
We hope you enjoy exploring and sharing Issue 79. Stay tuned for a series of spotlights from this issue’s contributors, forthcoming on our blog. Each issue is a collaboration with both our writers and our readers. We are so grateful for your support.
