On “Martial Law Memorial”:
“The Wall of Remembrance in Quezon City, Philippines lists 316 martyrs and heroes who were slain by the Ferdinand Marcos regime between 1965-1986. Many killed were youth and students who struggled against dictatorship and advocated for genuine freedom and democracy. This poem reflects on the history of the Filipino people’s struggle which continues today.”
