Natalia Martinez was born and raised in El Paso, TX. As a graduate student in the Creative Writing MFA program at Florida International University, her work largely focuses on the borderlands of El Paso and Ciudad Juarez, as well as the symbolic and metaphorical borders encountered in everyday life.
