Interview: Shadow
Required: nothing. No bloody
chair, no truncheon, no white
light. No pen, no pad. No
evidence. No electronic
gadget. Reverse the silvered
mirror. Scour the room
so not a trace of dust
or ambiguity remains.
Draw the drapes. Or leave them.
With or without light, Shadow
spills all syllables—
dark mouth of your heart . . .
