Rosaire Appel

I like to write on walls. I write small discreet asemic messages available only to those whose eyes wander. When the mind is not so severely preoccupied that the eyes have practically stopped working… But alas, the walls in my vicinity these days are “property,” either public or private, legally protected against wayward pens. So I take pictures of walls and write on them in the privacy of my own study. No, it’s not the same at all, in fact it’s entirely different. But it’s something rather than nothing… a taste, a reminder of the pleasure of writing on real walls.
