Faith’s Other Shapes

Faith’s other shapes,
marsh light, seedpod, reeds
disembodied pollen

dispersing. Penumbra,
square shade of sail
its communal shadows

choose or unchoose
human chambers
alight without hands

like trapped
wind, then we know
its absence embodies

a meaning, maybe
thimble full with belief
we would take it

resize and mend ourselves,
that coronation of dust
without wings.
